EFIKASI LARVASIDA BERBAHAN AKTIF BENZOYL PHENIL UREA SEBAGAI INSECT GROWTH REGULATOR TERHADAP LARVA Culex quinquefasciatus DI LABORATORIUM

Abstract


This study was conducted to determine the efficacy of an insect growth regulator (IGR)
benzoyl phenil urea against Culex quinquefasciatus larvae, laboratory scale trial. The research
used seven concentrations of IGR, were evaluated 0,5 ; 1 ; 2 ; 2,5 ; 3 and 5 ppm and untreated
control, using 4 replications (20 larvae each). The result showed that 0,5 ppm of the benzoyl
phenil urea could kill more 90% of Cx. quinquefasciatus larvae in 5 days, while concentrations 1
; 2 ; 2,5 and 3 ppm in 4 days, and concentration 5 ppm in 3 days. The result was also revealed
that LC50 and LC90 0,57 and 23,2 ppm. Mosquito larvae mortalities were showed statistically
different among concentrations (p < 0,05).

Penelitian untuk mengetahui efikasi insect growth regulator (IGR) benzoyl phenil urea
terhadap larva Culex quinquefasciatus telah dilakukan. Penelitian menggunakan 7 konsentrasi
pengujian yaitu 0,5 ppm, 1 ppm, 2 ppm, 2,5 ppm, 3 ppm, 5 ppm dan kontrol. Setiap konsentrasi
menggunakan 4 kali pengulangan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa larvasida benzoyl phenil urea
membunuh lebih dari 90% larva Cx. quinquefasciatus dengan konsentrasi 0,5 ppm dalam 5 hari,
konsentrasi 1 ; 2 ; 2,5 dan 3 ppm dalam waktu 4 hari dan konsentrasi 5 ppm dalam waktu 3 hari.
Konsentrasi yang diperlukan untuk membunuh 50% (LC50) dan 90% (LC90) larva uji adalah 0,57
ppm dan 23,2 ppm. Uji analisis varian memberikan hasil bahwa ada perbedaan bermakna
kematian larva antar konsentrasi pada taraf nyata 5%.
