STRUKTUR ANATOMI BUAH DAN BIJI SIRSAK (Annona muricata) MULWO (Annona reticulata), DAN SRIKAYA (Annona squamosa)

Abstract


ABSTRACT

Previous research showed that Annona muricata, Annona squamosa, and Annona reticulata could beused as anticancer. Research on anatomical structure of their leaves and stems have been done but notfor their fruits and seeds. This research was conducted to study anatomical structure of Annona’s fruitand seed. Result showed that anatomical structure of tree kinds of fruits consisted of one layer cell epidermis, cell clorenchyme, and parenchyma with lignified sklereides in it. Epidermis of A. muricata and A. reticulatahave glandular trichomes but none of A. squamosa. A. reticulata trichomes is longer than A. muricatatrichomes. Anthocyanin was found only in A. reticulata skin fruit. Fruit flesh of those Annona speciescontained starch grains and oily substances. Cross section of Annonas species was similar comprising of onelayer macrosclereide and layers of sclerechyme fibers followed by parenchyma. Storage food was found in ruminateendosperm. Endosperm of Annona species was supported by perisperm within ruminate endosperm.

 

ABSTRAK

Penelitian terdahulu menyatakan bahwa sirsak (A. muricata), srikaya (A. squamosa) dan mulwo (A. reticulata) dapat dijadikan sebagai obat antikanker. Penelitian anatomi tentang daun dan batang dari ketiga tanaman sudah pernah dilakukan, sedang penelitian anatomi tentang buah dan biji belum ada. Penelitian ini dilakukan untukmengetahui struktur anatomi ketiga buah dan biji Annona tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strukturanatomi ketiga buah terdiri dari epidermis, klorenkima, dan parenkima yang di dalamnya mengandung kelompok-kelompok sklereida yang berlignin. Perbedaan ketiga buah tersebut ditunjukkan dengan adanya trikomaglanduler pada kulit buah sirsak dan mulwo, sedangkan srikaya tidak memiliki trikoma. Trikoma glandulerpada mulwo lebih panjang dibanding dengan sirsak. Antosianin ditemukan pada kulit buah mulwo sedang kulit buah sirsak dan srikoyo tidak mengandung antosianin. Daging buah mengandung amilum dan tetes minyak. Penampang melintang biji ketiganya mirip, terdiri dari kulit biji yang tersusun atas selapis makrosklereidadilanjutkan dengan beberapa lapis serabut sklerenkima dan parenkima. Daerah cadangan makanan terdiriatas lapisan perisperm yang mendesak ke dalam endosperm (ruminate endosperm) seperti pada biji pala.
