Abstract

A study on the social aspects in relation with malaria morbidity conducted by the National Institute of Health Research and Development has proven that intervention by using learning module could improve the community knowledge on malaria.

This improvement of the knowledge influences the attitude of the community on malaria morbidity. Formerly they were careless becouse they think that eventhough they get malaria, they still could work and recover. Now they consider that malaria is a dangerous disease and they should be more careful to control the disease.

The change of the people attitude is expected to change the people practise positively toward malaria control. The role of malaria field worker is needed in the hyperendemic areas, while social funds to support malaria control is needed in the community and management should be under the supervision of the chief of the village.
